About Dune: Awakening
UX Design and UI Art Direction for a wide range of content for the epic survival game based on Frank Herbert's 1965 novel, Dune.
I developed UX solutions for HUD, Player Menus and Logotype. Focus areas included: UI/UX Alignment and Direction, Crafting, Map, Skills, Quests, Economy and Onboarding. I created UX wireframes, interactive prototypes and mockups to determine the best experience for players based on game design requirements and alignment between Game Design and UI Art disciplines.
I worked both within a dedicated UI/UX discipline as well as feature teams; collaborating with Directors, Game Designers, UI Artists, Coders and Producers to develop UX solutions and guide the visual style of the UI to reach target quality within the project. I supported awareness and impact of UX within the company, providing valuable user experience input in playtesting, promoting creative, innovative ideas and improvements across all user interaction touchpoints.
